Crucible (GoochType)

What is it?

A Gooch Crucible is a specialized laboratory vessel used for collecting and weighing precipitates during chemical analysis. Unlike a standard crucible, the Gooch type features a perforated bottom (or a built-in sintered glass disc). This allows liquids to pass through while trapping solid particles on a filter mat, making it an essential tool for gravimetric filtration.
