Multiple Adapters (Two Necks)

High-Durability Borosilicate 3.3 Glassware for Expanded Reaction Capacities

Brief Description

A Two-Neck Multiple Adapter is an essential glassware accessory used to provide a secondary port to a single-neck boiling flask. This allows for the simultaneous integration of two different laboratory components—such as a thermometer and a reflux condenser—into a single vessel without requiring a multi-neck flask.

Detailed Engineering & Application

Fabricated from **Grade 3.3 Borosilicate glass**, these adapters are designed to withstand high thermal gradients and maintain structural integrity under vacuum. The primary socket is aligned with the bottom cone, while the secondary socket is typically set at an angle (sloping) or parallel, depending on the specific procedural requirement.

Sloping Side Neck

The side neck is set at a 45 degree angle. This provides better clearance for adding liquid reagents via a dropping funnel while a center-mounted condenser is in use.

Parallel Configuration

Both necks are perfectly vertical, facilitating the use of mechanical overhead stirrers or sensors that must remain perpendicular to the flask base.

Manufacturing Quality: At Yash Instrument Company, all multiple adapters are stress-relieved in automated lehrs to ensure high mechanical strength, making them safe for vacuum distillation and pressurized reactions.
